Resources for Connecting with a Roommate

The Society for Mucosal Immunology encourages all attendees of MICS and ICMI events to stay at headquarter hotels when attending an event. Reserving a room on-site allows you to stay close to all of the event activities and save on transportation time and expenses.  SMI RoomShare is a collection of resources available  to make this a more affordable option for members and nonmembers alike.

In order to help offset some of the expense of accomodations at the hotel, some attendees may choose to connect with a roommate for the event. While SMI does not manage the roommate matching process, attendees may opt to find a roommate using any of the following resources:

Social Media

Tweet using #ICMIRoomShare to connect with roommates or post on the SMI Facebook page.

Online Member Directory (SMI Members Only)

Any member of SMI can take advantage of the online Member Directory. Search by name to send a private message or find contact information for other members.

RoomShare Group & Message Board (SMI Members Only)

SMI Members can visit and join the RoomShare group to connect with other SMI members looking for roommates.

Be sure to make your reservation for ICMI 2017 by July 23rd in order to receive the special event rates.  Visit the Renaissance Washington DC Downtown Hotel’s reservation site to reserve your room today!
