SMI Announces the 2004 Annual Meeting

A very successful 2003 Annual Meeting was held in Paris on May 15, as a satellite meeting of the Federation of Clinical Immunology Societies (FOCIS). This was the first annual scientific meeting organized by SMI in a year between the International Congress of Mucosal Immunology (ICMI), which is held every 3 years (Details of 2005).

Due to the response to the 2003 meeting, the SMI board is pleased to announce that the 2004 Annual Meeting will be held on July 18, 2004, as a full-day satellite meeting preceding the 4th Annual FOCIS Meeting and the 12th International Congress of Immunology (ICI), July 18 -23, 2004, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada (Details www.immuno2004.org).

The chair for the full-day meeting will be Brian Kelsall, MD, USA., and the theme will be Dendritic Cells in the Induction and Regulation of Mucosal Immunity. Speakers will be announced shortly. The venue will be the Palais des congres de Montreal.

Registration for the meeting will be possible on-line at www.immuno2004.org or through the ICI/FOCIS congress office in early 2004. Contact information will be available at this SMI Web site in early 2004. In the meantime, please put this date in your calendar and plan on attending.
