Policy as approved November 15, 2021 and updated May 9, 2022.

The general session and meal seating plan will respect appropriate social distancing. Please respect the space of others and keep 6ft/2m apart when indoors or in line for food pick-up. Mask wearing by attendees will be supported and respected, and a supply of disposable masks will be available at or near the ICMI Registration Desk for attendees who have forgotten, or find themselves in want of a mask during the Congress.

Please do not travel to the congress if you have flu-like or COVID-19 symptoms or have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, 14 days prior to ICMI.

If you feel ill or have flu-like symptoms once at ICMI, please stay in your room and call or email SMI staff to inform them.

If you test positive for COVID-19 up to 7 days after the conference, please contact the SMI office. SMI will contact the hotel and attendees for purposes of contact tracing and not divulge any personal information.

SMI will be guided by and continues to monitor hotel guidelines, governing authorities, and/or the CDC, with any changes to the safety plan communicated proactively to all registered attendees.
