Education & Experience Requirements

  • PhD or MD/PhD degree in Biology.
  • Several years of hands-on research experience in in vivo and in vitro experimentation, immunology, and/or microbiology (less than 2 years post-PhD).
  • Strong expertise in animal experimentation (mice), preferably in cellular or molecular immunology.
  • Proficiency in advanced immunology techniques (e.g., flow cytometry, immune cell phenotyping), histological techniques (e.g., Cryosectioning, immunohistochemistry, epifluorescence, and confocal microscopy), live imaging, routine molecular biology techniques (e.g., DNA and RNA isolation, quantitative Real-Time PCR), and standard tissue culture techniques.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to independently design and conduct experiments and interpret data.

Salary Range
National Institute of health Postdoc Pay scale $56,484- $62,000

Position Description
This search is to identify a suitable postdoctoral candidate to fulfill the following duties in the Beura Lab:

● The postdoc will lead a research program investigating the interaction between reproductive epithelium and immune cells that shape mucosal immunity.

● The postdoc will design, perform, and analyze independent research experiments in collaboration with the P/I.

● The postdoc will mentor junior lab personnel - graduate students, staff, and undergraduates.

● They will contribute to scientific publications by writing and editing articles, preparing quality figures, and analyzing data.
