Flow Cytometric Methods to Assess Allergic Disease

7/9/2014

Rahman, Adeeb H. “Flow Cytometric Methods for the Assessment of Allergic Disease – Springer.” Springer Link, 10 June 2013. Web. 30 July 2014.

Multiparametric flow cytometry is a powerful technique that allows the quantification and characterization of heterogeneous populations of cells. Advances in fl ow cytometric instrumentation, software, and reagents are occurring at a rapid pace, and flow cytometric methods are increasingly being applied to better understand cellular responses associated with a diverse array of disease conditions. This chapter provides an overview of some common applications of flow cytometry in characterizing mouse models of allergic airway disease.
